Time begins, passes, flies, leaving its ripples behind while flowing in a single direction towards eternity. These ripples leave traces that changes our societal, geological, political and economic condition changes. But is time a construction of the imagination? When did it begin? When did we started imagining things, and why did we imagined the things that we imagined? How is one person’s experience of it different from another? Why do things change through it? Why does our need changes and how we perceive things that changes? Because of time’s many particularities, there is a plethora of possibilities on how to explore it.
Considering our past, even our societal moral, ethical values has also changed. The development in science and technology has changed and would definitely change the future as well. What was relevant back then is it relevant right now as well? How Democracy, Monarchy, Dictatorship and Communism has changed the world that we live in? Bringing traces from our present, understanding things from past the time-line can definitely be reconfigured.
What if we get a chance to travel back in past and change things the way it used to happen. To infuse the ideas that we have today or travel in future to understand what works best to shape ours present.
In the bi-annual theme of UNFUSE, an opportunity is being provided to all the participants to ponder upon all these questions and bring the change that is/would have been/will be best for the society. An opportunity to visit back in time or leap into the future to create a new continuum.
From a personal angle, bringing these changes would still be very vast and it goes beyond geographical boundaries We find ourselves occupying different social and mental spaces, influencing how we behave, think, and perceive our surrounding and ourselves, therefore involvement of a multidisciplinary approach to this theme is what would be best suited.
